No matter what system you are involved in - if you are competing or interested in pageants you need to register for these exclusive Pageant Workshops. Plus, nationally recognized pageant photographer Jenn Cady will be here with her team to take on all your head shot needs.

Workshops throughout the day Saturday, February 2 and Sunday, February 3!

The cost for admission to any and all workshops offered is $50 per contestant. If you have a parent or director who would like to accompany you to the workshops they can get in for an additional $20 (rather than the full price admission cost). This year our workshop lineup consists of the following and will take place on Saturday and Sunday at various times.

  • The Legacy Group (Interview and Paperwork) - Jessica Mead and Michelle Hunt create the dynamic duo that is The Legacy Group. New this year they will be sending Alyssa Howell, Miss Nebraska 2015 to present on interview and paperwork portions of competition.  Their objective is to focus on each individual they work with and tailor to each girl's needs and goals in order to encourage a well-rounded contestant. Platform work, paperwork, and interview are definitely their areas of expertise.

    • Private appointments available! Focusing largely on paperwork, interview and platform work. They can customize what they do with each individual based on the needs and goals of the contestant, in order to help bring out the most confident and true "you".  Michelle and Jessica will be not be available to meet this year but are still willing and eager to set up meeting times with contestants via Alyssa Howell, Miss Nebraska 2015.   • Jessica White (Modeling) -  Jessica has been modeling since the age of 13, gaining experience in editorial, print, and commercial modeling. She has been the featured model several times in Omaha Fashion Week and has walked the runway for over 30 designers. Jessica has developed her own program to teach contestants the necessary skills to compete in talent, fitness, runway, interview, and overall onstage presence.  With experience on the Omaha Fashion Week runway, not to mention prior competition experience, this workshop will focus on modeling/walking during different phases of competition.

    • Private appointments available! Jessica will be presenting during workshops and will be taking private appointments throughout the weekend to tailor to your “walking” needs.  Jessica has runway experience and is eager to polish your modeling in any area you may desire. Please contact Jessica to set up your appointment.

  • Ashley Gaa (Makeup) - Whether it's an everyday look or competition stage makeup you're going for, Ashley is your girl.  She has been part of the squad who does hair and makeup for headshots for the past four years.  She will be performing her talents on a live model and teaching key strategies during her workshop. Learn some of the most common mistakes women make and how to create the most flattering look for any occasion. 

  • Ashley Lauren (Gowns) - Designer Ashley Lauren recognizes the power of fashion. Immersed in design, intrigued by the latest trends, and influenced by classic silouettes, she takes great pride in creating clothing that fits a unique style and personality. Ashley focuses on ways to make women feel confident and beautiful in dresses that will aim to flatter.

  • Brandi Paul (Social Media/Branding) - Miss Nebraska Board member and social media guru, Brandi will cover the do's and don'ts of social media. Learn tips, tricks and etiquette when it comes to managing your social media accounts in order to increase your followers and platform awareness while maintaining professionalism and safety.

  • Brittany Squire (Jeffers) (Media Interview)- Miss Nebraska 2009 and television news anchor, will work with contestants to perfect on stage areas of competition.

Don’t miss the chance to work with national pageant photographer Jenn Cady, and her team!

Headshots will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, February 1-3rd. These will be $175 for the general public. They will include hair, makeup, and 1 edited photo. You can get more edited photos if you'd like for $20 each. If you did get a Jenn Cady headshot last year, you can still get photos taken and maybe use the opportunity to do something more high glam, or use your one free edited image as a crown shot!   • Jenn Cady - Nationally recognized photographer who resides in the Charleston, South Carolina area. Jenn has had photos in Seventeen, Glamour and People magazine. She is one of the official photographers for the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Program. She is skilled in capturing emotion in any environment and is skilled in all areas of photography.

  • Katie Straw- she has been in the beauty industry for the past 4 years.  I am currently behind the chair in Omaha, at Salon Z in the shops of Legacy.  Styling hair has by far one of her favorite things to do and has found a new love in pageantry as well.  You can follow her on Instagram to see all things hair @kmcgonistraw
